The DMC-1500 stand-alone controller with RS232 is a member of the Legacy Series, a prior generation of general-purpose controllers with a widely installed base. For new applications, Galil recommends the new generation, Optima series DMC-2100 stand-alone controller with RS232/Ethernet connectivity.
The DMC-1500 controllers accommodate 1- through 8-axis formats and allow control of step or servo motors on any combination of axes. Any mode of motion can be programmed including linear and circular interpolation, contouring, electronic gearing and ecam. Programming the DMC-1500 is simplified with two-letter, intuitive commands and a full set of software tools such as WSDK for servo tuning and analysis, ActiveX Tool Kit for Visual Basic users and a C-Programmers Tool Kit.
