Applied Motion Products introduces their compact SI5580 micro step indexer/driver with built-in power supply designed to provide PWM MOSFET-level performance for industrial stepper applications. Designed to work with NEMA 14 to NEMA 42 4, 6 or 8 lead step motors, the SI5580 delivers a maximum 0.5 A - 5.5 Amps @ 80 VDC output in a compact 3.07" x 5.45" x 8.0" envelope.
The SI5580 incorporates an indexer with Windows Graphical User Interface for stand alone applications. There is no programming language to learn, no software engineer to consult, no code to write. The system does the programming; you need only input move parameters, apply 110VAC, and operation is immediate. When your single axis application requires connection to a host computer, simply connect the SI5580 to your PC or PLC and invoke the SiNet command language. Matching 1.8 degree stepper motors ranging in size from NEMA 14 through NEMA 42, and providing up to 2100 oz-in holding torque are available to create a cost-effective plug n' play stepper system.
